Optimizing Back-Office Workflows Through Automation
Clinical trials have conventionally been manual, involving clipboards, excel sheets, data drives, and
emails. As a result, the process was time-intensive and prone to errors.
ABC wanted to move away from this mundane process of clinical trial data management and develop a technique to record, edit, and
automate existing process flows.
Solution
We used Automation Anywhere’s Robotic Process Automation (RPA)-based lift and shift framework to re-configure back-office workflows and business processes.

Lift and Shift
It then lifts quality data from emails and data storage spaces, and shifts them to electronic trial master files (eTMFs)

eTMF documents are uploaded in designated placeholders (study/zone/country)
Assign
Metadata properties are subsequently assigned to each file
